So, here I am sitting around the house waiting for billable hours. when you are a consultant and clients equal paychecks sitting is bad. I hate that in this regard I can not control my own destiny. I am waiting for my sales department to pimp me out like a $2.00 whore. We have the end of our fiscal year fast approaching and I need a minimum number of hours to make my year end bonus.....and my company can't figure out how to get me out there working.
Tomorrow I am planning a Pan-Asian meal...so I will cook away my frustrations.....

Julie&Julia Sucked me in.....

I am a bit of a closet gourmet chef, and so of course I went to the opening of this movie. After having seen and been inspired, I decided to start writing. Many if not, most of the folks that have preceded me in the blogging world have a a tendency to piss me off. why you ask? I have a couple of issues. First there are many people who simply can not write, so they shouldn't. Second, between the blogging, twittering etc... Many people have no reason and apparently no life, so why I would want to read their uninspired blather, is beyond me. That being said why does anyone read any of this crap? (mine not withstanding) Do people have nothing better to do really? What did our parents used to tell us....Go outside and play!
Back to my inspiring movie, not only did I decide to blog I also decided to make; Boeuf A La Bourguignonne, Oignons Glaces A Brun, and Champignons Sautes Au Beurre (not bad for a guy that flunked his first and only semester of high school French). Or as we Americans say, Beef Stew with onions and mushrooms. It was a rather in depth recipe but fun and challenging to make. For those concerned, most of the wine cooks out leaving just a subtle hint of flavor. The meal was incredible, the company was excellent (not everyone gets a pastry chef for a wife), and now I have written. The pen may be mightier than the sword but the fork trumps all.
So why Bitter, Bored and Bitchen? For those that know me, I am all three. My wife the "Pastry Chef" thinks that if I exercise this outlet I may be more bearable, stay tuned...we'll see.
